Borrowed Suitcase

Hello again!! Just wanted to let you know i have a drawing in a zine a friend of mine has just put together. its a pretty rad little zine with a ton of great artists she has collected to be in it.
You should support her and pick it up over at her etsy store.
Her name is Mel Stringer and she is a great artist from the Australia. i have a couple of originals from her and try my best to keep up with the ton of zines she puts out each year. thanks Mel!!! I cant wait to see what's coming out next!!

Cameo in Juxtapoz

so i was told by a couple people that i was in the back section of the new issue of Juxtapoz.today i finally got around to picking up the issue. I"ve had a few of my pieces grace the pages of the magazine a couple times, in advertisements for shows, but this time i have a picture in the pop life section on page 136. it highlights my last show over at the c.a.v.e. gallery. love those guys over there! one step closer! haha maybe next time ill actually have an article. here's wishing! take a peek. i scanned the page for you.

so i found this cool application on my iphone called instagram. any one heard of it? check it out here! I've been posting some recent pictures on there of work and on-goings of my daily routine. i have foiund that i can now post pictures on here from my phone but i do not want to litter the blog with a ton of annoying pictures of useless junk. and if you don't know, I'm not really one to start a twitter page so if you are interested in pictures i take, random tattoos i do, and have an iphone.... check it out!( my user name is haubs. )

Traveling

Some of you may know this last month was full of traveling for me. First i went to new york for a gallery opening at sacred art gallery and then i stayed the week to sight see. I ate pizza everyday. there are so many great little spots out there i had to try most of them. Luckily it wasn't raining to bad most of the days so we did a ton of walking to make up for it. I found a lot of new spots to check eat at next time I'm out there. I really can not wait to go back. I took some pictures of my favorite sights, and friends but if you haven't figured it out yet I'm still not that good of a photographer. Enjoy!

The week after that it was off to San Francisco for the dino show at double punch gallery, and the alternative press expo. I had a booth up there with my good friends Ken Garduno and Emilio Santoyo. I was glad to see so many familiar faces and was privileged enough to meet so many new people this year. Good seeing the awesome brothers from color ink book, Skinner, Alex Pardee, Mike Bertino, Drew Beckmeyer, and many more. I must say, one of the highlights of the trip was both hotels i stayed at were relatively inexpensive and pretty huge! if you are like me you love staying in hotel rooms and when you get a good one you are in paradise. Bummer though, i did not spend any time in the rooms other then sleeping.*** You must do yourself a favor and go to dynamo donuts if you are ever in the mission district. amazing!

hey there!
going to be at a.p.e. this weekend! i will be at table 522 with my god friends emilio and ken. be sure to come down if you are in the area . i am going to be selling a bunch of zines, prints and, original drawings.







i made a new zine today the last couple days and i am going to be selling it first up in frisco and then i am going to put a few up on my store when i get back home. i will post pictures on here soon.

This piece took a while to complete becuse i started it during the time i was painting for the CAVE show. i had hoped to get it on here sooner, but time isn't on my side these days.
I'm pretty happy with the outcome. I would like to start doing more portraits, so you may see a few on here soon.
