Live painting

a few days ago i was lucky enough to be involved in a live painting session with some very talented artists. although i am not a acrylic painter anymore it was still tons of fun to brush my paints off and try again. haha... of course i painted worse then i ever imagined, but never the less it was a great time. i wanted to thank the guys at project gallery for inviting me to be a part of this. i also have a print for sale there now as well if you are interested in purchasing one. its of one of my older pieces. you can get them there at atmosphere on vermont, over in los feliz. go check these guys out....Yoskay Yamamoto, Nate Frizzell, Ken Garduno, Tessar Lo and Derek Albeck. great people, great art.

the launch at atmosphere.

Preacher cover

At comic con this last summer i was asked to do a comission piece of a preacher cover. i tried to make the piece as close to the original cover as i could, while still putting my own twist to it. i wanted to thank mike deleree for asking me to do this. you can check his website out its www.notsonice.net. or you can check this other site out where the original is posted too http://www.comicartfans.com/GalleryPiece.asp?Piece=319079&GSub=35762. i did this around september and have barely got around to posting it. here i have posted the sketch as well

finally

yes yes. its been a while. blah blah blah I've been busy ,blah blah blah, i should be doing this more often. but seriously these last few months have been killer. I've had a bunch of shows and i got a lot of new paintings and projects to show. ill be slowly putting them up here this week and next. so here are a couple of images to start you off with.

Comic con Pics!!

this year was my first year attending comic con as an exhibitor and i must say it was one of the greatest weekends ever. i cant wait until next year to do it all over again. i was lucky to share a booth with some great artists and good friends, ken garduno and eric davison. we met some great people, ate some crappy food, and drew some crazy collaborative paintings. here's some of the few pictures i took while we were down there.

here is the only picture of a piece i completed while at the booth that weekend. i really liked this one, and was kind of sad to see it go, but at least i know its in good hands. i hope to get a better scan of it soon.

below are a couple of collaborations we all joined forces to complete. i think they came out a lot better then expected.

Comicon Paintings
